The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Jefferson and Franklin Counties will meet at Jefferson College, Hillsboro, MO and East Central College, Union, MO. Tentative Agenda to discuss Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs. The meetings are open to the public.

Public Notice - Program Year 2012 WIA Plan

The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Jefferson and Franklin Counties will be submitting the Program Year 2012 Workforce Investment Act Plan (7/1/12-6/30/13) under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, Public Law 105-220.

Funds under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Title I provide occupational skills training, On-the-Job Training, Work Experience, Dislocated Worker Program, Next Generation Career Center, and other appropriate activities as allowed under the Act to eligible residents.
The Workforce Investment Act Plan will be available for examination from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Office of Job Training Programs, 3675 West Outer Road, Suite 201, Arnold, MO 63010 (636/287-8909). Interested parties may submit comments on the proposed plan to the local Workforce Investment Board Chair or Staff in care of the Office of Job Training Programs or to the Division of Workforce Development’s Planning and Research Section at P.O.Box 1087, Jefferson City, MO 65102-1087 not later than June 14, 2012.

Public Notice - Occupational Skills Training

The Office of Job Training Programs, Jefferson/Franklin Counties, Inc., 3675 West Outer Rd., Suite 201, Arnold, MO 63010, phone (636) 287-8909, as required by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998, Section 122, hereby invites Occupational Skill Training providers to apply for Training Provider Certification to provide skill training to eligible WIA youth.
